From The Dark The Light Shall Be Revealed

Take a walk on the dark side with Josh Thornton as you explore the amazing world of black and white Fine-art Portraiture. This workshop will stir up your creative juices and show you how to produce stunning minimalist fine-art portraits with minimal effort and equipment.  

Josh will break down every step of his production process --- from setting up lighting equipment and booking talent, to creating a creative atmosphere that makes shooting your portraits a breeze. Finally, Josh will show you how to enhance the look and feel of your portraits in Photoshop, Portrait Pro, and Alienskin Exposure X do help you express your own creative voice. 

Whether you're new to portrait photography or have a ton of experience, you will leave this experience feeling super confident in your ability to express your creative-voice, and/or leave with a TON of stunning images to add to your portfolio. This "EDUTAINING" will give you the ability to attract clients, create amazing portrait experiences for your clients, and create work you're super proud of. 

Fine-art Portrait photography is a special form of portrait photography. It gives you unlimited canvases to work with (people of all shapes and sizes), and gives you, the creator the ability to have full control over the final product, unlike  "traditional" portraits. As the world and technology expands, so are people's desires for more unique looking portraits of themselves. This workshop will show you how to tap into this amazing market, and do well in it.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The studio is located in at 526 W. 26th Street in Chelsea. (Exact address will be given closer to the event). There are several options for parking around the studio, including an affordable parking garage (around $24 per day if you get in before 10am) on 25th street.

The studio is also a short walk from Penn Station. I recommend Uber if you need a ride as well!

What is the refund policy?
Due to the nature of production costs, a refund in most cases may not be available and may be applicable to a cancellation fee or only be available to transfer to someone else. Please contact us regarding questions about a refund.
